Manufacturer overview
INA traces its company roots to the Schaeffler brothers' Industrie GmbH founded in Herzogenaurach, Germany, in 1946. The brand is now part of the Schaeffler group, whose headquarters remain in Herzogenaurach. A defining technical development was Georg Schaeffler's cage-guided needle roller bearing, patented in 1950.
The bearing design illustrates INA's emphasis on compact precision components for motion. Its portfolio also includes linear-guidance products and other components used in machinery and automotive assemblies. INA's distinction is particularly clear where a design requires the load-bearing function of rolling elements within limited installation space. For dealers and purchasing departments, the complete product designation, dimensional requirements and application are important when specifying a replacement or a component for an existing machine configuration.
